Very soft and definitely a huge hit with my boyfriend. Some strings hung out but they pulled out easy and haven't seemed to affect the material. Great buy for the price. I am 5'11snd I ordered large and it's short on me! Nonetheless, I still like this robe. 5'1'' 115 lbs - the small fits perfectly. It is on the shorter side but not too short. It does fall open easily if you are moving around, which can be bothersome.
