Phone adapters are spring loaded and the weight of the phone on the top does not push down enough so there is no contact between the adapter and the dock and the phone doesn't... This is one of the best products, I have seen in the market. I own 4 of these units. Very intelligently designed. Allows 4 USB and 6 regular power cords to attach simultaneously. GREAT! It worked perfect...... We like the expansion this product gives to a regular outlet. The phone mount on the top is not the best design because the phones don't always get connected well.
