Pad doesn't heat and water doesn't percolate/heat either. Made coffee on a Monday, no issue. Tried Tuesday, broken. It was OK while it lasted. After just 5 months it stopped pumping water out of the reservoir. It just bubbles away loudly. My last one lasted 2 years... Excellent product, I would recommend this product to anyone, works great! Easy to use and program and is quite effective, This is the first time that I purchased a product "Used", I am delighted with the product and with the price. Condition: Used - Like New means just that! I drink a lot of coffee, so a 12 cup coffee maker was perfect at an unbeatable price. I'm probably going to make a fresh pot now that I think of it. Less than six months old and refuses to brew. Weird screws won't let you take the bottom off. NOPE. Waste of money. This was on my wish list and I got it for Christmas. I wanted it for our RV. We got the RV out of storage and went on our first camping trip a couple of weeks ago and got to use... Fast and efficient, makes good coffee, but instructions say to unplug after every (every day for me) use! Why unplug?? So far so good... Not that you can say much about a good ol' coffee maker.
