Works great! I wasn't quite satisfied with this product and wrote a brief review the other day saying such. The very next day I received an email from Brieftons asking how they could make it... Technically I think it might have been a cleaver. I tried to persuade it to cut some bones with as little encouragement from a lump hammer. The shaft broke. I cut an onion into four pieces and it chopped it within three pulls Love it ended up buying a second one. Bought it for my mom and it brought an instant smile on her face. This is a good design and an awesome concept. Don't like bulky items that are annoying and cumbersome. This is quite the opposite of bulky and cumbersome. Light and packaged really nicely. Unfortunately this thing didn't work for me at all. On the very first pull at making salsa the pull cord would not retract. ONE OF THE BEST GEMS OF AMAZON!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this product. I've sliced garlic, onion, tomatoes, etc. and they come out perfect every time!!!! You can't chop anything sticky in here - it will break it! Customer service was really nice, though, and gave us a 50% off discount on the next one we ordered. Amazing invention especially for students!
