The metal had scrapes on it, and the smallest bowl was dirty on the bottom, and had been smashed in. I expected a cheap low quality set of mixing bowl, too my surprise I was wrong. These bowls have a great look and feel, appreciate all the extras, especially the pop in grating... I loved the bowls BUT the measurement cups didn't last long. They literally cracked (they're super cheap) Bowls and measuring cups are flimsy The bowls themselves are great. However, the insert that is supposed to fit into the largest lid when you're not using a slicer, doesn't stay put. While you might be excited about the diverse features of this set, particularly for the price, sometimes more isn't actually more. Badly made Very thin and not good quality Measuring cups and spoons are tin and bend and graters don't work well great value, and very functional.
