Came with a few spots on them, that amazingly came off with water and a sponge. Very thick, very heavy and keep the light out. Second deconovo blackout curtain that keeps it's promise. Everything got pitch black during the brightest sunshine. They are lightweight but do a good shop blocking out the light. I ordered 3 sets for my master bedroom, after last summer being so hot and bright, it was unbareable. These curtains are AMAZING. I have a HUGE window that catches the sunrise and these curtain block it ALL out so I can sleep in on rare days-off. Working nights means trouble sleeping during the day with light pouring into my windows. These curtains were a godsend. These black out light for sure! Please remember that this is not glued to your wall, so some light leaks from the top of the curtain rod, but NOTHING from the curtain comes... Definitely blocks the light!!! I did not smell any chemical odor at all. They are wrinkled a bit, but it is not a deal breaker for me, I got a steamer if it does bother me in...
