Great item, so much better that the stick model I had been using. Easy to read and makes for perfect steaks as sometimes I had a tough time judging by time and outside looks... Perfect! use it for smoking. Just used this to make a burger. I didn't use the hamburger setting since I like it medium rare, but I used the beef setting. This worked well. I did use this digital meat thermometer to cook and it worked well. However, I also used it for a completely different purpose than probably other reviewer. It seems to think it is HIGH all the time now cannot get a readout. I would advise not to buy this. Didn't malfunction until I was past the date to return it. When it works the product is great. The wifi unit when working is great. My advice is to never get your oven hotter than 300 if you use this product. Out of box first turkey failed. Worked for 5 minutes then started beeping no temperature display probably bad probe.
