Our netbooks do not have a DVD drive and my children use programs for Math and Science in our homeschool that requires one. My initial impression of this drive was this looks nice as it appears to be a small neat well finished drive with nice clean edges. The product arrive faster than the time expected. Takes up very little space when in use and can be easily stored away when not needed. Works great for what I needed, mine stopped working on my laptop that I use for the embroidery design. I needed a quick alternative and this was it. Love it. It's working great, and was super cheap, as we like it. The slot to insert the CD wouldn't stay closed. Returned. Works fine So far working great. Nicely constructed with small footprint. Great for the price! it works... loud as hell but... for the price... whatever. the cheesy extra power adapter usb thing is weird... Very handy for doing backups and playing cd/dvd. Really nicely built and handily small. Works brilliantly on my small laptop without a drive, can now play sims.
