Other compasses that I had would break easily due to rough travels in the mountains, they just... Very well made. Better than any GPS. Seems very heavy duty. Arrived as expected I bought one because the other brand I bought points west instead of north. Good well made unit with incline estimator for hillsides. Great Compass, the pouch could use a vertical webbing slot on the back for ALICE clips It's heavy. its metal!!! It has some good qualities to it, thank goodness it came with instructions.
