- $24.00 I normally liked this magazine, but my first issue was just an big book of commercial backpacking items for sale, just a waste of magazine! I like the magazine. Great magazine to keep up with the latest and greatest gear out there. I am a gear head so I need this info and this is a great place to get it! Very happy with my purchase! It's a gift for my son, who loves it! They review a lot of gear as well as writing about great camping/hiking trails. I usually enjoy one article each issue, but it's hard to look past all the useless advertising. Occasionally there will be a decent how-to write up or a suggestion on where to... Really enjoy this magazine, kids love it as well. They are excited to get it every month, gets them in the mood to hike. Subscription arrived early! YAY!!!! Great articles, best magazine I get! Great magazine, I've been a subscriber since the mid-90's. Awesome, it was such a fun surprise to get this in the mail earlier then expected. It inspired me to take a trip to AZ to hike next month :) Love this magazine!
