Fairly easy to shorten for smaller children. Pretty cheap. Bought as a present for a 4 yr old and after 5 min. the handles kept falling off. Would not buy again and do not recommend. Good quality. Only purchase for kids 6 and under. I purchased for my eight year old but It is too small. I kept it for my niece and nephew. Good product. Nice quality jump rope. When my child was jumping she said it was a little short for her,but she still can jump over and play with it. My daughters are really enjoying this jump rope.
