This model requires way too much oil for the small sized fry basket. It's exactly everthing promised on the description of the product. This saves time over frying in a pan. Fried fish and french fries. That is all! I don't like having to plug and unplug whenever I use it. No off/on switch so you have to pull it away from the wall and unplug each time you use it - I expect the cord will wear... This product gets the job done but only after a few months the lid has a hard time shutting the wording came off and the lid and sides get extremely hot. It really hold a lot. My only 2 complaints are that many things are fried at 350 degrees and it is not marked on the temp gauge and it is difficult to read the minimum and max... great product Easy, convenient and doesn't take up a lot of space on my kitchen counter. My beignets came out fantastic!!!! love the easy clean up! Family very happy with this fryer.
