If it is mounted outside you will have to take it down and put it next to the router . I purchased two of these. One for the front porch and one for the back porch. I found them to be excellent in quality! Love it! Easy to use, great picture! I think that this product so far has beat my expectations. I also think it was really easy even for me to set up. Was very easy to install. I have only had this installed for a couple of weeks, buy I have had no problems with it since I installed it. I liked my Ouvis VZ-1 so well I got a 2nd one. I had a few problems installing 2nd camera so I called the New York tech support and they walked me through all the steps and helped... Excellent Product Works well... easy to install with app. Great product I like it a lot. The app does drain my phone battery if I leave it in running mode to get alerts though. Camera works great, very clear, easy set up. Ozzie was great help. He walked me through personally all of the options and operations of the camera. Love it! Easy to set up. Love the inferred option. Sound and picture quality are also great.
