Will be perfect for use in a tent and the fan is an added bonus! the fan moves air, might be ok in a tent smaller space, however fan does not have a high speed and must be close to be felt. This thing runs on 2 D cells so it lasts a pretty long time on the lower fan setting which was great when I wanted to get some sleep in a really hot tent. love it can't wait to use it. came faster than promised Nice fan, has plenty of power, moves plenty of air and the lighting is perfect for inside a tent.
