My 4 year old enjoyed it grandson of 3 yrs was exstatic when he recieved his "catakillers". they are already big enough to go into there cacoons. 4 out of 5 hatched, was fun to watch. I ordered 2 cups. One had only one caterpillar ,the other had 5. They both developed a lot of moisture inside the cup. None of the 5 developed. I have gotten my caterpillars through Amazon for the last couple of years and before that, directly through Insect Lore. I have always been pleased, until this year. All 5 hatched. I've been doing these for years. The cups the caterpillars come in each year get smaller and smaller. There is hardly any paper at the top for the caterpillars to attach to. Bought this for school. My students love looking at them. Works perfectly w/ our butterfly unit. Learning and experiencing it at the same time!! We love this! Do it every year! I ordered two of these for my classroom - we released 9 healthy butterflies last week - perfect for preschool!
