It's been hard to fit other holders because of the configuration of my windshield and dashboard (sharp angle, not gradual curve). It was just as expected, it works well. I wasn't familiar with the brand but I decided to give it a try. I was very impressed by the quality of this item! I would highly recommend it. If I could return this product I would. I read the other reviews about it and thought that it would work well for me, even with the flaws that others pointed out. This was good at first, but the plastic teeth that control the grip will slip and eventually wear out. I owned this for less then 1 year and I now have to replace it. Good, very functional device. Make sure you have a flat enough spot on the glass if you are attaching to a deeply curved windshield, from that point it works really well. The Item was OK for a cell phone holder. Over the years I have had a number of these different types and styles.
