They don't bend and squish the way you would be used to. Loving these so far. No smell yet (1 mo), and not sure of long term use, but we broke out two and they seem great. I like how well it holds soap. Firm sponge and nice scrubby side. Just started using one today, I went with the rectangular one.. They're durable and don't stink up after a few uses. I've only had these for a couple of weeks but so far they're exactly what I was looking for!
