Burn much cooler than incandescent bulbs, and-no warm up needed like CFL's. Good but not as bright as my other 65W equivalent lamps. I'd say at best they should be rated at 60W. Made my kitchen so bright I need sunglasses. My kitchen is very dark and only 2 of these bulbs are really needed to light up the large space. Great buy for the money. They don't fit in lamps designed for regular bulbs.
