I have a Roomba, and while I love the idea of robotic cleaners, it does have a few weaknesses. I was therefore eager to try the Ecovacs unit to see if it improves on the Roomba,... So I really really really really LOVE my new BFF that I have named Chappie! He has great suction power and love the dual brushes that my mother's roomba doesn't have ( she has... This vacuum is perfect for hard floor surfaces. The vacuum part cleans efficiently and very well on my tile and hardwood floors. I have never used a robotic vacuum before, so I was skeptical about how well this product would work, especially with all the dog hair around my home. This is a pretty good vacuum, but it could be improved. The navigation is not as good as shown in the ad. The unit doesn't really do clean back-and-forth patterns like shown. This deebot is a great option for a robot vacuum cleaner. I have given it a few run throughs my 1 bedroom apartment and am satisfied with the results. Overall, the vacuum is fabulous. Have had it for just a day - but so far, so good. Using it in the kitchen and family room - its main job is to tidy up when everyone is at work...
