I prepared some nice pieces of Pacific cod just to find that the heating element died. I received it two days ago, but it worked first time, or may be worked in the beginning,... The product makes excellent food. The app is a bit glitchy and not easy to use. If they get the app fixed I will be at 5 stars! I had seen chefs praise this, and a friend's son was raving about it at brunch one day, so I had to buy it. The appliance works okay and did what was expected. Could heat up the initial water faster. I put hot in now so maybe just a learning curve for me. I have been using this device over the last 2 years and am continually impressed with the overall experience and results. Great value for the money! Tip..... This is a work horse of a device, I highly recommend it. Holds temp for hour and hours, I have multiple other Sous Vide units and honestly I wish I could replace them all with... Please make sure you know what's up with this before jumping right in. Its a dream like they say but only time will tell... Works well. I am generally happy with my purchase, but Bluetooth connectivity sucks! Also will not work with 5g wireless. My new favorite way to prepare venison and most cuts of beef. Vacuum seal with spices, sous vide for the time needed and then sear.
