Quite vibrant! Buuuut the caps break easily making it hard for said kid to stay on the tip. Absolutely terrible pens. More duds than actual working pens. Some don't work at all, others intermittently, and I've yet to use one that works well all the time. I purchased these as a throw-away for when I was out and about. Imagine my surprise to find that it is a great set! I should have written this much sooner. Only the black pen worked - the others were dried out. Big disappointment. Just received and tested these pens and they all work great. Not sure how long they will last but the initial test went well. The pens are lightweight and easy to hold. Great pens! Wish all of the ink had the same smooth consistency (yellow and orange were scratchy and not smooth) but overall a great pen set. The WORST pens ever! Pls don't waste your money Ink inconsistent and infuriating Excellent pens. Use them every day for crane log book. I bought these for the same reason everyone else bought them. They are fountain pens of many colors with a decent price. And you get what you pay for.
