It really lives up to what it promises: keeps my cold drinks cold for hours, even when left in the car parked in the sun. Ice will last all day, even if you pour several cans of beverages in it through out the day. Love this mug, will keep my ice tea cold all day long. Will still have ice cubes at end of day, that I filled up in the morning. It's pretty great. My husband loads it up with black coffee every morning before work and he says it never cools before he finishes drinking it. Great size. Doesn't sweat. Meets all your travel needs. It does keep your drink hot (or cold) fairly long, but there are some design problems. The hinged lid opener can hit your nose even when it is open all the way, which is both... Nice, well made cup.
