My husband uses this item while at work to play music on his forklift. He loves it because it is loud enough to hear over all the "factory" noise. Great speaker for a couple of months but it doesn't last. I bought this the end of February for a German Shepherd Rescue to play music for the dogs. I got my speaker and used it right away for about 10 minutes. It turned off and on just fine. I then charged it and now the power button doesn't always work. So far so good. I've had it for about 1 week now, and the sound quality is pretty good while being decently loud. I'm not a huge audiophile but I do love music and needed something sturdy, portable, with good sound range (highs-lows) and loud. This fit the bill. Really good quality sound and very loud. Awesome speaker it's perfect if you want a loud speaker. A A A This little guy is pretty loud, holds a charge well and comes at a great price. My only complaint is that the sound distorts a little at max volume. Definetly waterproof!! First it sounds great. I got mad at my GF for playing it too load one night so I threw it in the pool. Left for California next day for a week.
