I upgraded to this modem. It has performed extremely well. The internet browsing speeds are noticeably faster. A cable modem might seem like a device you don't need to worry about buying. In most cases, you're paying for that convenience, as your provider might be charge you a monthly rental fee on your modem. Over time, those charges can really add up. Comcast charges $120 a year if you rent one of its modems. Amazon is listing this modem for $45 if you's prefer.
