Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway - Thomas' Fossil Run Train Set (Tale of the Brave) [toysrus.com]
Here is a review review [youtube.com] of the set that is mostly positive. It is also listed here on this Guide to the best wooden train sets [play-trains.com]. On the other hand, I did read some negative reviews on Amazon with people complaining that there is an issue getting trains to go up the ramp due to the boulder's trigger mechanism. It also appears to have a quite a bit of plastic and particle board for a "wooden railway" set.
It's currently listed at 50% off the list price, and about $20 below the Amazon price. This seems to be a good deal relative to the other Thomas Wooden Railway sets, which always seem to be way over priced. Whether or not this is a good deal in general relative to other 3rd party sets out there (i.e. Imaginarium, Conductor Carl) is up to you.
Finally - note that Toys R Us is also selling the James' Fishery Delivery Train Set [toysrus.com] for $50 (50% list - same price on Amazon). This set seems to be less interesting than the Fossil Run set - but looks like it might be better for a younger child.
