Pretty nice inexpensive lamp for extra lighting needs. Highly recommended. Shade is plastic not glass. Easy and fast assembly. I was thinking that I didn't pay much for this lamp but I didn't expect the quality to be so good. Not bad, elegant, good price. I would say, if you have carpet, flatten the area appropriately so that the lamp can stand straight freely. Would not buy from lightaccents again the pole lamp was garbage it blew my circuits I threw it in the garbage it wasn't worth my time to send it back so I took the loss. I like it This lamp is extremely cheap looking. Almost impossible to put together and screw in the stand straight. Very wobbly and flimsy. Returned for a full refund though. Great lamp, especially for the price. It looks fine and gives light just as I expected. But the switch does not work well after only a few weeks. So we have it plugged into an outlet with a wall switch. Good quality for the price
