For movies, they are quite good. Bass is impressive for just one active woofer, with two radiators. these front speakers are immediately recognized as the source for the richer sounds from the Fronts to balance the rest of the system. I needed to replace my 20+ year old speakers (since I blew them...) and these are so much better. Sound is clear, they are sturdy and ready to use right out of the box. I bought these speakers about a year ago from another merchant ($75 delivered) and I would like to contribute my thoughts, FWIW. Quality of sound, cost of the product, along with the speakers looks and design is exactly what I was looking for. Great speakers. They sound absolutely amazing and I can't be leave that an inexpensive speaker sounds so rich Awesome sound reproduction for the price, can never go wrong with a Polk product. Great sound! Nice addition to my component stereo system. I will add the bookshelf and center speakers to complete my surround sound system. Took a long time to bite the bullet on these, wish I would have bought them sooner. They are awesome! Well worth it!
