If I unplug it, hit any button all it does is flash uncontrollably. Very convenient. Works very well. I bought these lights and I got them in a timely fashion. Only problem is a foot of the blue light went out. These strip lights are easy to install and they look good in my patio! With the remote, I was able to use the color of my choice in my patio. pretty cool lights, remote is handy Amazing simple to setup and figure out the basics on the remote (preset options are easy, still working on how to program custom colors and light patterns). Okay let's get the good out of the way. The leds that did work looked fantastic. But when I put it together as instructed only about a 2' section actually worked. I got it for $8.99 after the coupon and I can most certainly say that I'm NOT happy with it: 1. The glue strip is awful - the strip keeps falling off here and there. 2. Bought for behind my TV and only one section of the LED lights work. The lights are cut correctly and installed the right way. Highly disappointed.
