The new tray and gasket make clean up easier. Works great!! Have vacuum sealed several meats and froze them, as well as bags of salad, chips, and other items that would normally go stale. Very easy to operation!! Lasted a little over a year with light use stopped vacuuming. FYI I don't like external vacuum sealers. They are very limited in their application. If there is any liquid you have to be able to time it perfectly to extract all the air and... I've had this for 5 months now and it's a new addiction! No problems so far except the words on the buttons are wearing off a bit. Best kitchen appliance I every bought. Pays for itself quickly by saving leftovers for months if need be. Or I buy food in bulk, seal it and freeze it. Trust the reviews. Buyer beware. First it took me much longer to figure out how get air out and seal which is unusual for me (I'm savvy with technology). Vacuum broken after about a dozen uses Love it. The food saver is not worth the money charged. I compare it to a rickety staircase. Every time I open the lid I have to put something back where it belongs.
