It needs a redesign and I would pay a little more for one that would open the pickle... I love this at first! But it quit working within 3 months. What a waste of money! at first I thought it was fantastic because it could open anything. I have yet been able open a jar with this piece of junk. Did not work. I tried numerous jars and I could not get the lids off. The lid gripper would just slip off. Someday down the road this bottle opener may develop into a useful device. Now however, it is not. My 80 yo mom in law had it come apart, break, on first use. I am amazed that it works so well. It really does what they say! Both large and small jars works the same. So glad we got it. It broke the second time I used it. I Do not recommend it, do not waste your money on this. #1 The opener works so good! After several months of use it still handles the toughest lids. There are cheaper copies with different names available but DON'T fall for the pitch. very good
