- We used this when travelling for sporting events. Our SUV doesn't fit all the kids and equipment. This was the perfect place to put our items. Just as stated Heavier duty than others we looked at, more money but you get what you pay for. Took about 10 minutes to assemble, very minor assembly, just what we were looking for. This is a solid carrier. It was very easy to assemble. It is pretty heavy and it is big so some people might find it difficult to move it and put it on. Nice Works great as advertised. Glad I bought this one. Get this cargo rack if you want good value vs. cost. Looks pretty fresh behind my camper. Although this product does what it is supposed to, the bolts all have rusted after one week of use. Very disappointing. Good but consider an aluminum one instead. While this claims 500lbs (and is sturdy enough to do so), some vehicle hitches are rated for 500lbs only when used with a wheeled... Great Quality, sturdy. HEAVY and BULKY. Doesn't fold down or store easily.
