They block the light nicely and keep the room cool. Good looking curtains and seem like they will blackout the room in the mornings. I'll have to get a shot and post it here They work great Changing the look on my home after a flood found these to match the pattern perfectly with my kitchen curtains. They did the job exactly as expected. We took down the vertical blinds on our back patio door and had bought these to put up instead. They are absolutely PERFECT!!! These are not "blackout" curtains they are medium weight and allow a lot of light into the room. Had slight pattern smudges here and there. It's not quite as effective as some of my other heavier duty blackout curtains -- I'd rate this an 8/10 on light blocking, but it looks a heck of a lot better. Kind of cheap plasticiky fabric. They don't completely black out. They work for the price, but you definitely get what you pay for here. A big hole in the center.
