We use the recipes that comes with it. Excellent ice cream! Love it! The only downside is you can't store the bowl in the freezer or it will end up breaking. The ice cream is nice, but it looses stars because of the way the lid attaches very poorly to the machine. We always have to futz with it, and it still wobbles. Makes great ice cream...easy to use This is the easiest way to make great ice cream! It is so simple to use and clean. Makes ice cream quick. Sounds like the washing machine when you have an unbalanced load and the engine sounds like it's struggling to run. The machine worked as advertised.and made some delicious raspberry gelato. Very easy to use and clean-up was a snap! I makes ice-cream well but makes lot of noise. I read somewhere that it was a quiet machine. Not sure if it worth over $45-$70 product from same or different brands. We bought this last summer and we love it. Delivered quickly, undamaged, and exactly as described. Thank you!
