This Contigo model has an easy to clean lid, compared with other auto seal models. You need to flip open part of the lid and re-close it after every sip if you want it to be spill... I was very disappointed, the threads on my lid don't seem to line up right so even though I make sure to put the lid on straight and tighten it all the way this unit leaks, so... I like it enough, but don't LOVE it. I love the design and color, but there were a few reasons that I dinged it a star... 1. Great Cup These look great and perform horribly. The tops are nearly impossible to get off and on. It takes try after try to get the tops fitted so liquid does not spill. It had scratches when delivered. In the first time, after a few hours, very hot tea became cold but next times were okay. Maybe it was my fault (kept open the seal on the lid). Well made, good size. Keeps the coffee good and hot. I have tried to like this cup. It is a struggle every time I try to put the lid on this cup. I have 3 other contigo cups and never have this problem.
