The pump seems fine on its own, but you can not add air (and it comes deflated, so pretty flat), nor remove it (instructions say to just insert... It sounds like this might be a great product, but ours broke BEFORE we even used it once. We inserted the pump to start blowing it up, and the needle snapped off inside the... I really can't think of any reason to buy anything other than this stability cushion. Its not that its better than any others, but also no worse. Great for core strengthening that has been recommended by my doc. I work from home and sit all day at a desk so this is just what I needed.
