After charging the light per the instructions on the box I turned the light on everything worked it comes on at dusk goes off at dawn. Not near as bright as I was hoping. We kept our other light on the flag after installing this light. Very happy with the lights performance It took a little rigging to mount it to my pole but it works great.... I charged it and put it atop my flagpole. Lights up most of the 4x6 flag. Nice and bright for an led light. Great illumination for flag Works well, easy to install and just the right amount of light. Stays on from dusk to dawn. Illuminates the flag beautifully. I really like the 26 LED light I have recommend this product to a couple of my friends for their flag poles. this is a good light for the price. it works fine and is still on when i leave for work in the morning.
