This is brilliant, I wanted a flashlight I could have for emergencies that could recharge without replacing the batteries; this fit the bill! Doesn't hold a charge long if at all..... Bought this flashlight last year and stashed it in my backpack for an emergency. It doesn't charge from the sun. I have placed it under direct sunlight for hours at a time. Works great! Lasted overnight on less than a minute crank. Looks and feels well built. Using for my 72 hour kit. Works great! Fairly luminescent. Won't light up a camp site like a high-lumen lamp, will allow one to navigate through the dark and dimly see at least 10-15 feet ahead. Seems like a sturdy flashlight. It works well. I did think the black material toward the front was rubber but it is plastic.
