They should include the bolts. I had to go to the store and pick them up. The rope is rather long. Too much excess rope. Cheaply made, couldn't use it. The pulley's are cheap and lots of clearance that allows the rope to fall off pulley and drop on side, which makes it bind and become unusable. I bought three of these and have them side-by-side on my garage ceiling. Instead of using the tie down bar that they provide for the wall I just loop the rope and hang it on the... Great deal. Easy to install. You need 2x4s for a proper install. I used 2x6s and it worked better in my opinion. I also added velcro straps. This made me feel more comfortable. Very easy to install for two people. I did not attach the hoist directly to the ceiling. My studs are 12 inches on center. I took a 48" L 4x6 and attached it to the studs.
