Did not want huge or heavy binoculars and these seem just about right for taking birdwatching or on trips. The online instructions are very good and helpful. These glasses have remarkable light gathering capability and really shine in low light conditions. Almost too bright in full sun. I have to admit that my old binoculars were pretty old, but these are impressive! wide angle, bright colors and highly detailed. We got these primarily for birding and have really enjoyed them. Very clear optics and great field of vision, which makes the 8X power seem even higher than it is. I read many reviews before I decided to purchase this pair of binoculars. Now that I have them I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Love my binoculars. They are fantastic to watch all my birds with. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family.
