The product is plastic so my first thought was that it was a cheap product. To my surprise this thermometer works like the ThermaPen at a fraction of the cost. Inaccurate, I expected it to do as described yet it does not at all.. I wish I'd tried it before it was too late to return it. Real happy with the results.shipping is great undamaged. Knowing that they stand by their product and guarantee it is a plus. I only used it once so far but it seems accurate. Easy to figure out and use. It's not heavy duty but it seems like it's good. Just don't want to be rough with it. I used this product a half-hour after receiving it. I had made a steak and it worked beautifully, with a tiny poke in the steak. I highly recommend this thermometer. It’s well made and easy to use. Seems to work really well. Wish the numbers were back lit, but I guess the battery lasts longer this way.
