I purchased the FYI model and install was easy if you use the instructions listed in the book. I like the fact you can see over your cell phone your heating system working. I love this thermostat. I like how I can check the temperature anywhere I have my cellphone. Since installing this thermostat, our energy bill is down significantly. This thermostat worked great for 6 months, and I loved the phone app so I could adjust the temperature setting when I wasn't in the house. BUT... Wanted a wifi thermostat that connected with my Amazon Echo, so i didn't have to go downstairs when i wanted to control the thermostat in my townhouse. WHEN it works, it's great. I've had this installed for about 6 months and it has worked exactly as expected for us. Easy installation and always stays connected. I can controlled out AC from anywhere. Easy to install, This is the first time I install a device like this and it was very easy to follow the instructions. Works great and it is very reliable. We LOVE this thermostat: Having access to it away from home is just wonderful. 1. The smartphone app interface is EXCELLENT. This is absolutely, hands down the best feature. Love it. Being a geek hobbyist, I have been installing wireless lights and switches in my home and thought this might be a nice addition. Works flawlessly. We bought another after installing the first one and using it a while. Great being able to control the house temp from any where at any time.
