Even running through muddy water they didn't retain the water like other socks would and since they are thicker I felt... I LOVE THESE SOCKS! They are my go to for all of my OCR events. I am a 7.5 US, sometimes 8 depending on shoe brand. I wore MudGear Compression socks to my first Tough Mudder. I am glad that I had them. They repelled the water/mud very well and kept my shins protected. Just finished a Tough Mudder and the socks did not fail. Despite being submerged in water and mud, the socks stayed up at all times and no snags or rips. I highly recommend. Used these for the BONEFROG Navy Seal challenge course... Excellent product, great quality and value; I ordered the medium for my 9. I have only had for 1 day so can't really say if it is working for what I need or not! I believe it is what I am supposed to be wearing after having a Fractured Tibia bone.
