The self pressure doesn't work on mine, and like someone else noted I have to push down on the top knob to force the vegetable (potato) into the blades for it to cut. This has been one frustration after another. Maybe it wasn't intended for spiralizing anything but perfectly cylindrical veggies like cucumbers, but it definitely isn't working... My 16 year old son is in advanced culinary tech school for half a day after completing basic high school courses. This is great!! I have a toddler so I want to incorporate more veggies into his diet. This is great tool for making fun food. Even my husband now eats veggies:) Super product This spiral cutter is a nice kitchen tool to have. Spiral cuts any vegetable with ease. There are a couple blades you can put in it to change the size if the cut and they change... This is a great tool to complete any cook's kitchen. There are options to julienne two ways and ribbon slice as well. I've wanted a spiralizer for a long time. I had heard the hand held ones were no good so I decided to give this one a try. This product does not work the way it displays at all. I used this product only once and would not recommend it to anyone else. It is a waste of money.
