Like the remote, sometimes the auto detect doesn't work, but I suspect it's from having multiple devices on. The remote doesn't work well didn't work for some reason it switches from input to input over night or long periods of inactivity. So anytime we have a house guest I have to explain the 4th remote. I really was not anticipating on writing a review for this purchase, but it blew me away. Okay, so it is just an HDMI switch right? This switch has been working quite well for me. It automatically switches to the port where a device has just been powered up. Does exactly what I need it to do. Good stuff. It worked great for a few weeks then crapped out. I sort of expected it for the price. If your looking for a high quality product, this isnt it. It works, but for me, not for long. Allows for the splitting of the HDMI port as described. Occasionally I will have to unplug the product and the TV because the screen will freeze or I will not be able to adjust...
