I had fast internet connection- finally! - in my office. I was IN LOVE and singing its praises to my friends. Seems to work fine but it was a bit of a hassle to set up. Other than set up it works with no issues. worked great for a few hours, then started to disconnect all the time and then started overheating and started to smoke it got so hot. Purchased in August and it started to suffer from connectivity issues in November. I bought 3 of these extenders to extend the wifi signal in my 2-story 2580 sq ft home. I connected these to an apple AirPort Extreme base station, and an Apple AirPort express... Works as described, very easy setup. sometimes i have to restart (unplug it) about once a week My wife was having problems keeping her iPad connected to the internet while she was on the 2nd floor of our home. The description makes it sound as though you can use this to connect a home router (in my case the Netgear Nighthawk R7000P) to a public wifi network. Family saver!
