Bought another switch and works fine It's a smart switch, and smart it is with easy interface and control. I have my printer plugged to this so I can print over the network. This is exactly what I was looking for, a small device to plug in a bunch of devices that I can ping and manage the ports on. Mine's running smoothly. Worked as expected, really simple to use it. Pretty much plug and play. No complaints. This switch works great since my router has only 4 ports. I haven't noticed any bandwidth issues or any problems whatsoever. Pretty straight forward assembly and very nice finish. Threads could have been cleaned up a bit, and mounting hardware other than masonry anchors could have been supplied. I suspect a configuration issue, but in the Web menu, I did not find the settings. Perhaps SSH access needed. Does not allow DLNA announcements on the network. This switch is just what I wanted and at a very reasonable price. The switch itself has a very sturdy metal housing with 8 ports each supporting 1Gbit in bandwidth. I bought this after years of using rock solid Netgear ProSafe switches without issue since the reviews for this one were slightly better. My mistake.
