Inside this friendly neighborhood spot, Gulf War veteran and executive chef Tony Graves assembles a menu of simple, often whimsical, cuisine designed for sharing. The poutine is layered with chicken confit, cheese curds, spring peas, and curry gravy, and the ricotta gnocchi fills empty bellies with baby squash, pesto, and smoked caciocavera. Other dishes have a decidedly playful twist, including Dorielotes—aka Mexican sweet corn served in a bag of Doritos, while still others—such as the avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes and pomegranate molasses—hold back and allow the freshness of ingredients to shine. Throughout the week, Red Door sweetens visits with specials, including bottomless mimosas during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
